Hey everyone I love the redwall books

but have you ever noticed how Brain Jacques likes to use a lot of double l's in his stories?

From the book The Bellmaker page 73

Candles cast their warm flickering glow over the tables sending long shadows into the corner of Great Hall. Father Abbot Saxtus dipped his quill pen in the ink; a long bark parchment lay on the table before him. Though the night was late, his duties as Recorder were required. Every Redwaller sat silent, the food at table forgotten, as Joseph the Bellmaker stood to relate his dream of the previous night. The words sprang unbidden to his lips. "All day I have been struggling to recall the message Martin the Warrior gave to me as I slept, but I could remember nothing until now. So, friends. I will tell you about the dream as it happend. Martian guided my mind through a far country. It looked peaceful and warm, but I could feel fear, the fear of the creatures who live there. I also felt the presence of evil, a shadow loomed, like that of a big animal,a large fox maybe, or even a wolf! Then I heard Martian speak."

11:04 pm - Howdy!

I second Shar's sentiments! Redwall was so much fun back in the day...

My main character was Strongpaw, the stereotypically bombastic hare, with whom I was a Mentor and H/V and rebuilt the Long Patrol (I think? It was a long time ago). Others included Sedge, the exceedingly earnest abbey mouse, some sad retired old hare whose name I don't even remember, some now-forgotten otter, and others during my even more ambitious periods.

I wasted all sorts of time on Redwall during high school, but I drifted away when I went away to college, and now that I'm in grad school the idea of having time for computer games is laughable. But I'll never forget the good times and good friends...

12:11 am - Woohoo!

I can't believe I didn't think of looking for a RW MUCK community on here sooner, I've had my LJ for ages!

I wonder if there's anyone here who remembers me from way back when... I was on the MUCK actively from about August of 1998 till around sometime in 2002 (not exactly sure when, but I know it was before the earthquake TP). After that I pretty much just logged on every couple of weeks just to keep my chars from being deleted. Then when I graduated high school in 2003 I just stopped coming on, things got too busy. But I've been back now since August of 2006 (seems I like August, for some reason...).

My current chars are: Rois, Kiia, Leda, Jacey, and a few others.

My old chars included: Killian, Marreli, Moria, Rivermoon, Riverblossom, Noria, Nora, Kisha, Althea, Kireel, Nicia, Shyrna, Lyrania, Shar, Gemstone, Katrine, Shillia, Shinay, Shikanda, Myliana, Miendi
Love the similarity in some of the names - what was I thinking? Haha. And how did I ever handle so many alts?

Anyhow... Glad to find you guys, hope there are actually a few of you alive here! :)

Wow. So this place is pretty dead. What say we liven it up? How many of you out there in cyberland are still active, my fellow MUCKers? If so, feel free to add me to your friends, and I'll make sure to add you right back. Until then, happy mucking!

Quick, I need the MUCK's IP. The page is down, but I can get on with ROAclient, but I need the IP and port first.

Nobody ever seems to post on here anymore....
I blame....Oh, lord, I've finally run out of people to blame! I dont want to have to use Ian again, but I think I'll have to...
Aaaaaanyway, how come nobody posts? We could really make this place swing, if we lifted it up, tied each side to something high and then pushed it so it...swung, y'know. then we could ride it.
I really shouldnt drink so much coffee.

I would disown him if I hadn't already. Nobles' sons should not be naked and in a hot tub with Brad Pitt. (That is reserved for Bixie.)

Hi all, this is Marie from Redwall just saying hi. I only just realized that there was a community here for us, I guess I'm blinder than I thought. Well, hi all!

PS- I apologize if any of my rambly entries show up on the friends page. They're not TOO long... usually. u.o

Recently, there have been rumors spreading. (Isn't that how all things begin?)

Apparently, Brockhall is very much a reality. Led by Boar, who has visited Redwall once or twice in the past (and to his disgust, Noonvale as well), Brockhall was long since thought to be abandoned. But no, rumors are spreading throughout Mossflower of its warm hearth and well-stocked larder. In truth, it survived the earthquake much better than Redwall. Though it -was- origionally abandoned at that time, Boar has spend seasons rebuilding and faithfully keeping Brockhall in prime condition. And now, Boar has once again started travelling, to Redwall and Noonvale (and soon, Salamandastron), in order to offer his aid and his home as refuge to any who need it.

Right, so now that the dramatic Tiv-Shit has been done, I'll lay it out for you.

There's a website, of course. With a nifty little diagram of the main level, I might add. Still under Boar's rule, Brockhall is indeed returning. For the most part, I'm looking for squirrels and mice. Hedgehogs, too, though they're not the most popular species. Most birds, hares, and otters would actually -not- find Brockhall agreeable, as its a fairly woodsy home. The entrance itself is blocked to -all- vermin, and the bigger birds, as well. (Amphibians, also, can not enter. For they're untrustworthy, and usually not in the neighborhood anyway.)

Practically all positions are opened to be filled. Brockhall's the undisputed leader, but... other than that, all there is at the moment is a little squirrelet named Bricket, who I assume stumbled upon Brockhall to annoy the old duffy badger to no end.

So please, give me a ring. I could really use some help publicizing and bringing in good RP. Thank you. ^.^

MOTD from MUCK, copy and pasted.

In the next week or so, there will be rumors spreading, starting in Salamandastron and spreading to Halyard, and then beyond. Word is, the Long Patrols starting up a new faction - the Western Shore Patrol, and its to include non-hares. In fact, word is that any woodland species will be admitted, and that anyone interested should make their way to Halyard Village, where an announcement will be made in two weeks time. In fact, the announcement will come on a Saturday, the 31st of January, at 1 MUCK time. Any players interested, make your way to Halyard Village with a character at that time. The location will be announced at a future date. For more information, please contact Bludstripe, Sundew, or Zoe_Lang.

So, that's in, like, two hours, but if anyone's up for it, don't hesitate to show up. Everyone's invited.

Just a quick reminder:

Tomorrow at 1 MUCK time the LP's holding a TP, so any LPers on this thing, make sure to show up. ;) Also, anyone with characters in the Western Shores area is invited, too.

Delightful. What I'm wondering is, should this go on the Redwall website? It's a legitimate log.

Ooh.. hello. People I know on here. Ian and CJ and others..

My character's Sundew. I was a hero for a while, up until about a year ago. My character's a Colonel in the Long Patrol, ring any bells?

I'm still on the MUCK, mostly LP stuff, but I ran into this on someone else's journal, so I took a look and meh, here I am.

I haven't really been on the MUCK in a while except keeping the character alive. I used to be a geographer/builder/whatever around 4-5 years ago. My character is/was Beau. Anyone here remember me?
